Izelle Marais

I am an Interior Designer from Pretoria, South- Africa where I have been working in the design industry since 2005 on exciting projects including concept store designs, retail design and implementation, exhibition stands, residential interiors as well as corporate interiors and large residential developments.

I am passionate about human -centred design, creating spaces for people that suit their lifestyle and working environment and reflect something of them, their brand, making the space personal. I care about the environment, I encourage recycling through using reconstituted products, I like using energy –saving products and support local manufacturers.

I have designed and project managed a number of projects on my own including a Samsung roll-out across 20 stores nationwide, the GP store in Sandton city, activation for Johnny Walker and various other projects. Some of the brands I have worked on include Autozone, SMEG, Clover, Nestle, African Bank, Egypt Trade and Commerce, Kaizer Chiefs FC, NBC, Liebherr, Bosch and Siemens. Brand spaces include Hendrick's Gin, Glemorangie, Johnnie Walker and Heineken among others

 

Notable projects include Rand Park Golf Club where we were contracted to renovate the reception area, administrative offices and restaurant. Other notable hospitality projects include Louis Club in Rosebank, Konka Soweto, Meat Meet restaurant roll-out, Moja Sunninghill and Coco Club in Cape Town.
